[Women's Hockey] Lady Warriors Earn Tie and Win over Arizona State at WWCHL Showcase

SUPERIOR, Colo. – Midland University came away with a tie and a win over Arizona State University to wrap up the WWCHL Pre-League Showcase in Colorado. The Warriors and Sun Devils squared off twice on the ice, the first a 4-4 tie on Saturday in Boulder and then a 3-1 Midland victory on Sunday morning in Superior.
After going up 1-0 in the first and then extending the lead to 4-2 at the second intermission, Midland came up just short of earning the win as Arizona State scored midway through the third to pull close and then tied the game with 0:04 left on the game clock to force overtime. In the extra session, both teams were unable to take advantage of the extra spacing and the game ended in a 4-4 draw.
