MADISON, S.D.—Dakota State (S.D.) (1-6 overall record, 0-3 North Star record) concludes their three-game home stand at Trojan Field on Saturday afternoon. The Trojans host Presentation (S.D.) (4-2 overall record, 2-1 NSAA conference record) in the NSAA football conference action (annual Rushin' for a Cure football game).
Dakota State dropped their second game of their three-game home stand on Oct. 6, falling to Valley City State (N.D.). The Trojans held a 16-12 lead before heading into the final quarter, but the Vikings outscored DSU 15-0 in the final 15 minutes to secure a 27-16 victory.
Presentation secured their second straight North Star conference victory on Oct. 6. Despite trailing 7-3 in the first quarter, the Saints stormed back and held off Mayville State (N.D.) 47-37 in a high scoring North Star conference contest in Aberdeen, S.D.
The Trojans are seeking for their first home victory of the season at Trojan Field. The Saints are 2-1 record on the road, including a forfeit victory in the season opener at Trinity International (Ill.) on Aug. 25 and a 37-30 comeback victory at Valley City State on Sept. 29. PC lost to Dickinson State (N.D.) 59-0 on the road on Sept. 22.
Next Up: Dakota State heads on the road next Saturday (Oct. 20) as they visit Mayville State in the North Star conference action. Kick-off is slated for 4 p.m. at Jerome Berg Field in Mayville, N.D.
