Rio Grande/NAIA Sports Information
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The University of Rio Grande remained just outside the latest NAIA Softball Top 25 released Tuesday night by the national office.
The RedStorm finished with 92 points in the balloting for the equivalent of 26th place in voting by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and the Association of Independent Institutions.
Head coach Chris Hammond's club won seven of its eight games since the release of the most recent poll, improving to 30-11 for the season.
Rio Grande is scheduled to return to the field on Wednesday afternoon hosting a twinbill with non-conference rival Shawnee State University.
