[Men's Track & Field] Men's Track & Field 6th of 11 at KWC Invitational

This past Friday, April 6th, the Men's Track & Field program competed at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational.  On this extremely windy and cold day, the team scored 41 points and finished 6th out of 11 teams.   

Opening the day was Kyle Robinson running the 10k.  The race was stopped one lap short due to incorrect lap counting by the meet official.  Kyle placed second in a time of 33:53.87 for a distance of 9600m.

The 4x100m relay consisted of, in this order, Jaleel Parris, Brandon Stacker, Cameron Davis, and Landon Holt.  The team finished 2nd with a time of 45.11 seconds and was narrowly beat by Vincennes University.  The team finished ahead of both Kentucky Wesleyan and the University of Evansville.

100m Dash: Jaleel Parris finished 8th overall with his second fastest 100m time of his career in a time of 11.65 sec. followed by Brandon Stacker who finished 11th crossing the line in 11.86 sec.

200m Dash: Landon Holt led the team with his second fastest 200m of his career with a time of 22.92 sec.  Landon was followed by Jaleel Parris who ran his second fastest 200m of his career with a time of 23.97.  Colton Metcalf finished in a time of 25.34 sec. and Tyler Harris finished in 26.41 sec.

400m: Landon Holt finished 2nd overall getting out leaned at the line by Austin Hamlett of Georgetown College.  Landon finished in 50.80 sec.  This was Landon's second fastest 400m time of his career with his fastest being 49.41 sec. ran at the 2017 River States Conference meet.  Cameron Davis ran 56.54 sec. and Devin Watts finished in 57.01 sec.

800m: Devin Roche dropped 13 seconds from his previous meet to finish 16th of 30 runners with a time of 2:09.51.  Devin was followed by Chase McCauley, who ran his first outdoor 800m since the Bellarmine Classic in 2016; Chase finished in a time of 2:12.19.

1500m: Chase McCauley finished 21st with a time of 4:26.24.  This is the fastest 1500m Chase has ran since 2016 when he ran his PR of 4:18.60 at the Centre Twilight Invite.

Long Jump: Landon Holt, Jaleel Parrish, and Tyler Harris finished back-to-back-to-back finishing 7th,8th, and 9th.  Landon Holt's longest jump of the night was 5.78m followed by Jaleel best of 5.60m, and Tyler Harris with a jump of 5.48m

Triple Jump:  Colton Metcalf finished second with a jump of 11.73m.

Shot Put: Zac Johnson threw 9.40m followed by Lucas Petit with a distance of 5.50m

Discus: Zac Johnson threw a PR of 27.15m
