Welcome to another edition of Weekend Afternoon Baseball™! Today is April Fool’s Day, so please make as many weak Mike Leake puns as your heart desires. It’s the only day they’ll be at least semi-tolerated.
Today is equal parts exciting and kind of a bummer. In the bummer department: no Nelson Cruz, Mike Zunino, and still no Ben Gamel. We weren’t really expecting Ichiro and David Freitas to get meaningful run going into the season. In the exciting department: Daniel Vogelbach is starting! Congratulations on getting an at bat that isn’t against Cody Allen, Daniel!
