[Men's Cross Country] Eight Bees named to CCAC all-academic men's cross country team

CHICAGO --- Olivet Nazarene University ran away with the team title for the most selections on the 2017 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team, which was announced Tuesday morning by the league office. The Tiger program boasted 17 recipients, which more than doubled its next-closest challenger.
St. Ambrose University gained the No. 2 distinction with eight honorees followed by University of St. Francis with seven selections. The rest of the field included Calumet College of St. Joseph and Trinity Christian College with four recipients each, Indiana University South Bend with three and both Judson University and Saint Xavier University with two spots each.
The eight Bees named to the team were Clay Colborn, A.J. Engelsen, Reid Henry, Leopold Kesseler, Sam Long, Rane Nichols, Brian Santino and David Whittle.
Among the 47 honorees, 10 were named to the team for the second year in a row with another nine being three-peat selections. One individual maintained a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average.
To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
