Joey Votto plays a predictably great baseball analyst

Postseason baseball + no postseason for the Cincinnati Reds = plenty of would-be free time for Joey Votto. Of course, that's only if the Reds' superstar was willing to take a break from the game he's mastered to this point in his career, which just doesn't sound like the Votto we know and love. Turns out, he's stepped in recently with Rogers Sportsnet in his native Canada to add some on-air analysis to their coverage, and as Blake Murphy noted over at VICE, he's been predictably good at it. For those of us who have hung on every hitting quote he's given over the past decade of excellence, that doesn't come as a surprise at all, as he's proven to be one of the most intricate and eloquent minds the game has perhaps ever seen. Let's just hope he doesn't need to be a year-round on-air analyst until at least 2024.
