JACKALS' HURLER SANTIAGO HEADS TO ATLANTA
Durham, N.C. -- The contract of New Jersey Jackals RHP Andres Santiago has been purchased by the Atlanta Braves organization, the Can-Am League announced on Monday.
In his first season in the league in 2016, Santiago went 3-6 with a 4.30 ERA in 28 outings, 18 of them in relief. The Bayamon, Puerto Rico, native was acquired by New Jersey from Sussex County in August, and during his time with the Jackals, he allowed two runs in 11.1 innings of work in eight games pitched.
