[Men's Basketball] Strong Second Half Not Enough for Warriors

Kansas City, Mo.-Some teams you just match up well against. For the Sterling College Men's Basketball team (2-22, 0-18) that team is the Avila University Eagles (9-16, 8-11). 8 weeks ago to the day, Avila was in Sterling in another nail biter. With under 3 minutes to go, Sterling was tied looking, but 5 straight points for the Eagles put the game away. Saturday afternoon was a similar style game. Sterling trailed, but not by much, most of the game. Sterling put together a late surge, but fell just short as Avila edged out a 65-64 victory over the Warriors.
