[Women's Golf] Bears eighth after opening day of UPike Invitational

The women's golf program at Shawnee State finished eighth following the first of the two-day UPike Invitational, which is being held at Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, Ky.
Skylar Sayre, for the third consecutive round to begin the women's season, shot the low round with a 98, while Erika Martin followed with a 100 as the pair led SSU with 35th and 39th place finishes. Emilee Carey's 105 and Alaina Collins' 107 led to the duo collecting to a 42nd and a 45th place finish to round out the Bears' efforts.
