[Women's Basketball] Flying Queens Inducted Into Hall of Fame

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Many years of waiting and hard work came to fruition last weekend when the Wayland Baptist Flying Queens from 1948-82 were inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame here.

Dozens of former Flying Queens and their families, plus other representatives of Wayland and the Flying Queens, including WBU President Dr. Bobby Hall and current head coach Alesha Ellis, traveled to Springfield for Friday evening's enshrinement, as well as events leading up to and following the ceremony.
