Pannone makes big statement, holds off Rays

Thomas Pannone tossed his third consecutive quality start on Saturday afternoon with seven strong innings in a victory over the Rays. Toronto's No. 26 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, has been one the biggest surprises during the final month of the season and he's making a statement that a spot in next year's rotation should not be ruled out. Tyler Glasnow bounced back from a seven-run, 2/3 innings performance in his last start against the Blue Jays to record six innings of three-run baseball, but his offense couldn't come through for him in the loss.
