[Men's Basketball] No. 2 Men's Basketball holds off No. 5 Georgetown, 76-74

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team was able to hold off a furious comeback attempt by Georgetown (Ky.) as the Blue Raiders topped the Tigers 76-74 on Saturday at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.

The No. 2-ranked Blue Raiders (20-2, 5-2 Mid-South Conference) saw a 14-point lead diminish in the final minutes, but the fifth-ranked Tigers (19-3, 4-3 MSC) had their buzzer-beating game-winner waved off after the ball hit the support beam of the backboard before going in the hoop as the horn sounded.
