Cornwall Badminton’s over 50 veteran team travelled to Bournemouth at the weekend to take part in Badminton England’s annual Masters County Challenge where county teams from all over the region compete against each other over two days.

For the second time in three seasons Truro and Penwith College Badminton Team have claimed the National Team Title. The Team which consists of a full compliment of 8 Junior and Senior County Players have travelled far and wide over the last six months competing against top class opposition.
Our 2016 Team travelled to Nottingham University on Wednesday 30th March for our 10th ICT since 2007, this being the 51st year of the competition.

Scores of local badminton players attended the funeral of one of the Bolton Badminton League’s most popular players. Geoff Williams, a member of Markland Hill Racquets Club, died at the age of 67 after a long illness.
The final weekend of Badminton England’s senior county championship season saw the top Cornish players travel to Cheltenham and Gloucester to take on Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Guernsey, and seek to maintain their position in Division 3.
