For the second time in three seasons Truro and Penwith College Badminton Team have claimed the National Team Title. The Team which consists of a full compliment of 8 Junior and Senior County Players have travelled far and wide over the last six months competing against top class opposition.
Our 2016 Team travelled to Nottingham University on Wednesday 30th March for our 10th ICT since 2007, this being the 51st year of the competition.

Scores of local badminton players attended the funeral of one of the Bolton Badminton League’s most popular players. Geoff Williams, a member of Markland Hill Racquets Club, died at the age of 67 after a long illness.

The Cornwall County U13 Badminton Squad began their 2015/16 season with a flourish convincingly defeating Avon in a South West County match 22 points to 14 and 12 to 8 in the concurrent Shires League.

On Saturday 7th November Cornwall’s second team headed for Wellington in Somerset for the first matches of the season. With a mixture of new and experienced players in the team the first match was against a strong Devon 3 side.
Markland Hill B.C. will be running a one day Drawn Swiss Mixed Tournament on Sunday 16th August 2015. The tournament will run from 10am until approximately 5pm, beginning with a round robin competition followed by knock out rounds.
