On 25th May 2021 the Weightlifting Federation of Africa (WFA) held its Electoral Congress in Nairobi, Kenya. IWF was represented by Mr. Mohammed Jalood, General Secretary who assisted in conducting the Elections.

Last week Cali hosted the South American, Ibero-American and OPEN Senior Championships. This competition had been postponed from March 2020 to 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and it has been one of the last chances to gain qualifying points for the Olympic Games.
