Each year, the National Sports Awards come with their own set of controversies. Among the familiar stories, what held attention this year were the applications by Rio Olympics medallist Sakshi and Mirabai, a 2017 world weightlifting championship gold winner, for the Arjuna Awards. They seemed to have forgotten that both were previously Khel Ratna winners.
