OPEN WATER NATIONALS
On Sunday, 24th July Rebecca Gravell from the clubs Senior Performance Squad was in Rother Valley, just outside Sheffield, to take part in the National Open Water Championships. Despite the windy and wet conditions, and carrying an ankle injury, Rebecca managed to claim a 5th place finish out of a 12 woman field in the 19 & Over age category, and in the process, covered the 5km distance event 8 minutes faster than she had done so at the London Region Open Water Championships where she took gold.
