Another lumpy, junky morning
Hello Friends,
More grey skies, more small, disorganised and junky surf along the beaches. Wind was 12-17 kts from the NNE – which is expected to be 20-25 kts by this afternoon. I didn’t see anyone in the water at Manly or Dee Why, and the little crew at North Narrabeen were doing a lot of waiting for the occasional chest high lump. The MHL data from 0700 was showing 1.7 metres of 5-second period NE wind swell, and that short period meant the Curly surfers were not getting very far on waves before they faded out.
The swell models are currently projecting not much change to our surf conditions through to Friday.
Go well with your Tuesday everyone!
Weather Situation
A slow moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the state’s east, maintaining fresh northeasterly airstream over coastal waters. The ridge is forecast to persist over the north coast through the week while a series of troughs brushes the southern half of the coast on Wednesday and on Friday.
Forecast for Tuesday until midnight
