Super small but tiny options on offer

0 3

Hello Friends,

Just back from a look at the beaches. It’s flat most places, but there were ankle to knee high wavelets at Manly and North Curly.

Weather was absolutely perfect – sunny, warm and lightly offshore – but swell energy remains at a very low ebb. The MHL data from 0700 was showing 0.8 metres of swell at 11.8-sec from the south. The period was evident from long lined sets that would turn up every now and then to briefly interrupt the utter flatness.

The wind will go NE soon and that will erase any surf prospects. Tomorrow we should see a brief south pulse. The wind call looks iffy, but maybe, possibly as the swell fills in there will be a wave to be had in the afternoon.

As always, we shall see.

Go well everyone.

Weather Situation

A ridge lies over NSW waters, bringing southeasterly to northeasterly winds. Winds will turn northeasterly and freshen Wednesday ahead of a cold front which will bring a fresh to strong southerly change to NSW waters from late Wednesday, starting from the southern coast and reaching the northern coast later on Thursday. Winds will turn southeasterly Friday then easterly Saturday and Sunday as a new ridge forms along the coast in the wake of the cold front.
