The Goat’s Surf Forecast

0 3

Surf forecast issued Thursday 15 January 2026: Seven day outlook for Sydney

It’s enough to give you a touch ot the tropics~~~~~~

We gotta a lot of Lows up north with rain, giving the northern parts of the country their Wet Season (which is why it’s called The Wet)…

And we got another Low down south, ready to spin off on a little trip up the coast, and a great big High over a chunk of the country, which looks like dragging water off the Tasman to drop here.

The ABM is forecasting showers and possible storms for the week ahead. With onshoreish type winds, (and large surf warnings for Saturday and Sunday), TG is not expecting a week of worthwhile watersports activity.

Good luck if you find out otherwise.Only 4 takers that I saw out today (kids) in onshore non event 1-2 m waves.

Surf Outlook

Friday: coming up in the 1-2 metre rnage, maybe 2ish from the North East

Saturday: could be up some more, say 3-4 metres from the East, but depends on the movement and positioning of the Low

Sunday: looking like 3-4 metres East at this stage, but again ditto as above

Monday: say 2 – 2+ metres East

Tuesday: ditto

Wednesday: in the 1-2 metre range East

Thursday: ditto.

Could get some wild and wooley weather and waves at times – or not.

So stay alert but not alarmed. TG hates the smell of wet fur.
