Tuesday dull start in Sydney
Hello Friends,
This morning saw grey skies, light NE wind and a straight 1.8 metre south swell at 10 seconds apart along the beaches. A quick scan of the cams along the northern beaches gave the impression that almost no one was in the water chasing the lackluster, bumpy and sectiony junkburger lines.
The weather’s nicer in Santa Barbara today, but the relentless flatness continues. What’s worse, the long-range swell models show it continuing for another week plus.
Oh well. So it goes.
Speaking of the swell models, Sydney waveriders look likely to have another day or two of the blahs Before energy levels perk up from Thursday. It’s not looking amazing or anything, but there could be few waist-plusses for the morning sessions.
Weather Situation
A southerly wind change over the far north coast will stall and weaken this morning. Winds will become north to northwesterly from midweek onwards apart from brief incursions of southerly winds to the far south coast as a high pressure ridge extends from the Tasman Sea to the far north coast while a series of cold fronts skim to the south.
