North corners operational

0 65

Hello Friends,

Wind turned NNE around daybreak and by the time I grabbed the snaps around 0830, the ocean was textured with a light bump from that direction. It’ll get worse in the south corners as the day goes along, but the north corners should okay for a while yet. Swell was about 2 metres at 10 seconds apart from the NE, so all the spots that align nicely were firing up. Set wave faces were overhead. As we’ve beens seeing for some days now, the swell prediction models are looking good through Thursday, and currently prospects for the weekend are shaping up well too.

Needless to say perhaps, but conditions are not good for beginners or less than fully fit.

Catchya again tomorrow.

A high pressure ridge will enter the coastal waters during today and Tuesday, directing northerly winds along the coast. Winds are forecast to strengthen ahead of a cold front crossing the coast during Wednesday, and turn westerly in the wake of the front.
