Rough old day
Hello Friends,
Had to wait out the rain for a chance to grab the snaps. As you can see from the pictures, the 20-30 kts of S-SW wind were not making for attractive surface conditions. On top of that, it was 13 degrees (out of the wind), and the 3.3 metre 9-second SSE swell wasn’t much in evidence at Dee Why. And, just for good measure, this popped up on my phone at 1030:

Weather Situation
A trough is forecast to brush the coast, whipping fresh and gusty southerly winds. The trough will then deepen to a complex coastal low pressure system off the north coast during the weekend, bringing vigorous south to southeasterly winds and large powerful waves along the northern and central parts of the coast, before heading offshore by early next week.
