Here comes the weather

0 17

Hello Friends,

The Northerly wind was whistling through the rigging at RealSurf HQ by 0730 as I put on the coffee. Out at sea the chop was getting kicked up into the 2 metre range, but the underlying NE swell was 1.3 metres at just 5 seconds apart. Surf prospects this morning are essentially nil. Plus there’s an 80% chance of showers later.

Tomorrow we have a Gale Warning for tomorrow, but the swell energy won’t change much until Thursday when the Bureau tells us we could see a meaty 2.5 to 3-4 metre south swell fill in along with stiff SW wind and showery weather. Friday could be slightly smaller but there could be helpful SW wind for the early.

It’ll be interesting to see what the Goat thinks on Thursday too. The swell models are now pointing to another solid south pulse mid-next week.

Go well with your Tuesday everyone!

Weather Situation

North to northwesterly winds will increase through Tuesday as a series of cold fronts approach from the west. Winds will turn strong to gale-force west to southwesterly on Wednesday after passage of the main cold front, then winds will gradually turn south to southwesterly and ease later in the week as a new high pressure system drifts across the state’s south.
