Yep, still little to near flat
Hello Friends,
Monday morning was looking very small at Dee Why, but there were a few hopefuls in the water up the beach from Surf Club. Every now and then a little waist-high set would wobble in and offer a brief moment of energy. Swell at sea was 0,77 m at 9 seconds apart from the east. Wind was coming lightly from the NW under sunny skies.
The wind’s set to pick up across the day, and tomorrow the Bureau says we’ll have 15-25 kts of northerly wind along with an 80% chance of showers – but now significant change to the swell energy levels.
Since late last week the swell models have been telling us that we’ll get a pulse around Thursday. As usual, they were more enthusiastic about the size earlier and now, as we get closer to the date, the predicted swell heights are dialling back a touch. If today’s predictions play out, Thursday 2-ish metres from the SE at around 9 seconds along with cloudy skies and SW wind…
We shall see!
Weather Situation
North to northwesterly winds will increase on Monday and Tuesday and then shift west to southwesterly on Wednesday as a series of cold fronts cross the region.
