Clean little sets at magnets
Hello Friends,
Another perfect winter morning for Tuesday. Wind was out of the west at 10-16 kt and the 1.8 m swell was dead south at 9 seconds apart. It was too small for the point, but up the beach there was a little peak producing knee to waist-plus moments for the hardy types braving the brisk 10 degree air temps (9 degrees colder than the water).
The Bureau tells us that the swell will build through the day as it heads to a peak around the 2.5 metre mark. At the same time the models are telling us that it’ll swing more to the SE by tomorrow. Wind will stay W-SW through Thursday while the swell maintains the current intensity. Looking good!
Have a great Tuesday everyone.
Weather Situation
A low pressure system off the South Coast is bringing gusty west to southwesterly winds and large powerful surf over coastal waters. Winds and surf will gradually ease over the coming days as the low slowly heads to the southern Tasman Sea while a ridge of high pressure becomes the dominant feature in the west. Then a trough looks set to brush the coast later in the week.
