Swell filling in this morning
Hello Friends,
As of 0840 the swell at sea was 2.4 metres from the SSE at 10.7 seconds. This was translating into a steady supply of chest to head-high sets at Dee Why beach. The point looked to be a bit smaller and less consistent. Skies were sunny and the wind was west at 9-13 kts. The Bureau tells that the swell is going to be 2-4 metres today and the wind will be SW at 20-30 kts.
Tomorrow the Bureau tells us that the south swell will peak in the 4-5 metre range, while the weather turns showery and the wind swings southerly by midday.
Get out there if you can and enjoy!
Weather Situation
A strong cold front moved across the state bringing strong to gale force westerly winds in its wake. The front is now followed by a ridge extending from a high pressure system over the Bight and this will persist for the rest of the week, with winds turning south to southwesterly and gradually decreasing through the week. Then, winds will become easterly as the high slowly moves eastwards, entering the Tasman Sea during the weekend.
