Clean and small this morning
Hello Friends,
The sets are smaller and fewer and farther between this morning. Swell at sea was about 1.6 metres from the east at 10 seconds apart – so that should translate into chest plus sets at the better exposures. But for the most part it’s going to be pretty marginal. There’s a strong wind warning for increasing northerlies across the day – which will chew up the southern ends. At the same time the swell energy is due to subside. So, the takeaway is to get out there ASAP to enjoy the early offshore conditions while they last.
Tomorrow we have a gale warning from the Bureau for strong N-NW wind and fading east swell energy, so maybe a window of opportunity for the early, but not likely much beyond that.
On Wednesday it looks as though we’ll have roaring offshore wind and a ramping 2-4 metre southerly swell. The models show the pulse peaking on Thursday while the wind stays offshore but decreases. Could be quite the day…
Go well everyone!
Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure lies over coastal NSW. A cold front is expected to cross the coast today and Tuesday bringing with it a strong southwesterly change. Some additional follow-up troughs may also skirt up the coast on Tuesday. Behind this system, a high pressure system is expected to maintain a ridge across the coastal water for several days.
