Blah day
Hello Friends,
Not happening today.
For the record, at 0840 the wind was SE 12-27 kts, the swell was 2.5 metres at 10 seconds from the E by ENE and the weather was mainly cloudy with the odd shower.
Conditions don’t look like improving tomorrow either as the wind’s set to stay onshore all day. Friday morning might be a different story. From some of the swell modelling it seems that we could see a solid 2-3 metre, 10-second period east swell with sunny skies and morning offshores. If the models are right, the good conditions could repeat on Saturday and Sunday.
Here’s hoping.
Go well with your Wednesday everyone!
Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system to the southeast of the state extends a ridge across the south coast while a coastal trough lies off the Mid North Coast, bringing east to southeasterly winds to the coast, strong at times along the north coast. Then, the trough looks set to move slowly towards the far north coast and weaken through the mid to late this week while another low pressure system forms off the central coast late Thursday or early Friday. The second low will then move south towards the far south coast by late Friday and head to the southern Tasman Sea ahead of a series of cold fronts that looks set to cross the state on the weekend through early new week.
