Surf forecast issued Thursday 20 March 2025: Seven day outlook for Sydney
Beaut day. Lovely sunshine, pleasant breeze, nice water temp, and some ok smallish waves at places open to dead South.
Surf outlook is for several days of smallish surf, before a southerly starts to bring up some swell around Thursday.
Conditions are looking good for keen ocean swimmers who want to avoid the traffic on Sunday and Swim Around the Bilgola Bends from Newport to Avalon. It’s Avalon Beach surf club’s 100th Anniversary, so you can feel part of history

Friday: around 1-1+ metres at dead South spots
Saturday: around 1 metre or less then around 1 metre East South East
Sunday: around 1-1+ metres dead South
Monday: 1 metre or less dead South
Tuesday: ditto
Wednesday: 1-1+ metres South East
Thursday: starting to come up into the 1-2 metre range at places open to the South, with wind.
The Bureau forecasts possible showers for some days…But warm pleasant temps.. And if you’re going in the water for a surf or to Swim Around the Bends you’re going to get wet anyway, right! And you’ll have a gentley caressing southerly swell to help carry you forward>>>
