Sunny but near flat
Hello Friends,
I went for an exercise paddle this morning at Longy and can report the waves were at best thigh high, they were utterly gutless thanks to an average period of 5-6 seconds. The NE wind was picking up by the time I got out, so maybe there will be something a bit bigger (and junkier) at places like North Curly. But I think “marginal” would be a generous description of your chances.
Let’s see what the Goat thinks later today, but my quick take is that we’re in for more of this weak stuff for some time yet…
Have a great Thursday and go for a paddle, the water’s beautiful!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system located off the South Coast is extending a ridge over the coast, driving northeasterly flow along the northern coast, and fresh to strong northerly flow the southern coast today. Then, a cold front is forecast to slip south of the state on Friday, driving a southerly change along the southern coast reaching the Hunter Coast before weakening. A new high pressure system is predicted to then direct northeasterly to southeasterly flow along the coast on the weekend.
