The Goat’s Surf Forecast

0 24

Surf forecast issued Thursday 27 February 2025: Seven day outlook for Sydney

The Beach looked pretty as a pitcher this arvo.. blue sky, clear blue water, with a few colorful surfboards on top, and hardly troubled by small lines of white water occasionally rolling gently to the sandy sand. Ie, only occasional small waves if you need it spelled out~~~~

But youve heard there’s a cyclone up off the FNQ coast and you’ll be wanting to know is it coming this way, and/or will we get any waves from it…Am I Right? Or am I Right??

Well it’s sort of complicated but TG has had many years of observing these devils who don’t always do what’s expected sort of like predicting what sort of a tangent a spinning top is likely to take.  So with that in mind based on the best expectations of the moment when he’s putting hoof to keyboard, The Surf Outlook for Sydney is sort of like this..

If the… btw His current name is Severe TC Alfred.. If and note it’s If Alfred stays severe and keeps on coming down the coast after sending visitations to various Queensland and Northern NSW coastal locations, we might get a modestish increase in size from the North East for a few days, then an increase in size – paradoxically, from what TG sees – not appearing to be connected to Alfred, but from a weather pattern sending waves up from down South!  See how we go..

Friday: say around 1-1+ metres from East North East

Saturday: ditto

Sunday: maybe starting to see a slight increase in size, into the 1 -2 metre range from North East

Monday: similar

Tuesday: starting to come up some more say around 2-2+ metres from East South East

Wednesday: similar from Eastish

Thursday: easing back a bit into the 1-2 metre range Eastish

Watch out for blueys tomorrow if the wind is oshore.. Shane told TG thousands came in late this arvo!

Have Fun!
