NE spots maybe
Hello Friends,
Friday started out sunny along the beaches. The wind blew NNE all night and as of 0800 was a light 6 to 9 kts. There’s only a very slight uptick in surf energy though. As of 0600 the MHL buoy was detecting 1.2 metres of 5-second NE wind swell. That means, knee to waist high, close together little shories at the better exposures. The first tide of the daylight hours is the 1.96 m high at 0920. It hits low at 1550. Weather should be partly cloudy as we head to a high of 32. Water is clean and 22 according to Beachwatch.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over Tasman Sea is extending a ridge along the New South Wales coast. This pattern will maintain east to northeasterly winds through until Friday. A series of troughs brushing the southern and central coastal waters will bring coastal southerly changes on Friday and on the weekend.

- North to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 25 knots offshore in the late morning and early afternoon.

- 1 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon.

- Northeasterly around 1 metre.

- Winds
- Southeast to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots tending north to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots in the middle of the day.

- 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the morning, then increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres by early evening.
- Swell
- Northeasterly around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning, then decreasing to around 1 metre around midday.
