Gloomy and small
Hello Friends,
The southerly hit around 1730 yesterday and this morning at first light it was still pushing along at 16-22 kts. At that point the MHL buoy was seeing 1.7 metres of 5-second S by SSW wind bump as well as some similarly short period, but smaller NE energy. It should come as no surprise that there’s really nothing doing at Dee Why. Surfwise the day is a write-off.
Outlook according to the swell models is for the short period, sub-1.5 metre conditions to persist through the weekend. The only hopeful note is that we might possibly see a little cyclone swell on Friday. From here it doesn’t look all that exciting, but the weather should be nicer and the water’s 22, so could be worthy…
Have a good one!
