If only the waves were bigger

0 7

Hello Friends,

All the settings were in place for a classic late summer morning session – bar one rather important component. Swell should be pushing up this morning, but when I grabbed the snaps before 0700 this morning it was still in the knee to waist high range. The wind call is for a swing to the SE and then south this afternoon.  As of 0500 the MHL buoy was showing a mix of sub-10sec NE to E energy in the metre-ish range, but by this afternoon we should have a noticeable increase in the south swell and tomorrow the Bureau says it’ll build into the 2-4 metre range by the afternoon. The wind should be out of the SW all day tomorrow, so you have to like those prospects.

And the coming surf week looks, shall we say, promising!
