Marginal again but if you’re keen…
Hello Friends,
This morning sees close to 1.6 metres of dead south swell at up to 13 seconds apart – out at sea. Inshore, as you can see from the pictures, it’s struggling to make the waist high mark. High tide was a full-ish 1.95m 0945 and it’ll be back to the lowish low of 0.25 m at 1620. Weather should be cloudy with a 60% chance of a shower. Wind was 8-10 kts from the south at 0930. It should pick up a bit more as the day goes along, but not dramatically so.
Being a Thursday I’ll defer to the Goat on the question of longer term surf prospects. From a quick glance at the models though, I’m thinking we could be in for more marginal stuff for some time yet…
Have a top old day everyone.
Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over the Mid North Coast will stall along the north coast until the weekend, with south to southeasterly winds in the wake of the trough, and northerly winds expected persisting in the north. Meanwhile, another trough will brush the far south coast, and this system will be followed by another high pressure system drifting from the Bight to the Tasman Sea later in the week, maintaining onshore easterly winds through the outlook period.
