Near surfless sunny voting Saturday
Hello Friends,
A nice day to discharge one’s civic responsibilities at a polling place near you. The southerly and attendant showers should be along late this afternoon, but for most of the day we’ll have WNW wind and sunny skies. The problem, as you can see from the snaps, is that we only have a 1.3 metre, 7-second straight south swell rippling the sea. At Dee Why that means weak but catchable knee to maybe waist high little lines trickling in for the keen types enjoying the otherwise beautiful morning.
Tomorrow should be showery and windy, but it should also see the arrival of a three-ish day south pulse which the models show getting into the 3-5 metre range from late Sunday through Tuesday. by Monday the wind will still be strong but more SW. Those conditions could persist through the middle of the week, so experienced riders might want to block some time out for those days.
Go well one and all!
Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge builds over the region with a vigorous cold front expected to push through eastern New South Wales later today, bringing a strong to gale force southerly change to southern and central parts of the coast this afternoon and evening, extending to the remainder of the coast through to the Queensland border on Sunday.
