Lines showing this morning

0 0

Hello Friends,
A chilly 9-15 kt westerly was smoothing the ocean to perfection this morning, and there was a distinct line showing too. But although the swell at sea was 1.4 metres from the SSE at 11 seconds, it wasn’t lighting up Dee Why – yet. The forecast is calling for 2.5 to 3 metres today, so, I’ve no doubt things will change by lunch time. I’ll be seeing the Manly to Dee Why stretch shortly, so I should have a few pics to share by around 1000.
It looks as though today and tomorrow will be good at the south magnets, but by Thursday the energy should be fading away to tiny again for a few days.
Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Lines, but this one didn’t start breaking until it was just off the dry sand
Weather Situation
A high pressure system in the west extends a ridge across much of the state, gradually moving eastward bringing more settled conditions as winds ease. Winds will then turn northerly and freshen through the midweek as the high moves to the Tasman Sea. Another trough looks set to enter the far southern coastal waters on Friday before moving across the southern and central coastal waters during the weekend, bringing another southerly wind change in its wake.
Forecast for Tuesday until midnight
Strong Wind Warning for Tuesday for Sydney Coast

Wednesday 4 September
Strong Wind Warning for Wednesday for Sydney Coast

Thursday 5 September
