Sleepy Saturday Sea

0 0

Hello Friends,

As you were. The ocean is slumbering and near-surfless. Out at sea as of 0500, the MHL buoy was detecting 1.1 metres of 6-second NE wind bump. If you were desperate it was possible to get the odd knee high dribbler at the northeast magnets, but it was very weak and the rides were brief.

Sadly, it looks as though we’ll get no immediate relief for our surf hunger. The swell models are doubtful about any significant improvement for the next week. The doldrums have becalmed us.

Have a top old showery Saturday friends!

Weather Situation

A trough of low pressure in the state’s far west heads eastwards and brushes the far south coast on Saturday. Then a more significant cold front is forecast to cross the southern and central parts of the coast late Sunday through Monday, with gusty westerly winds in its wake, before reaching the far north coast and weakening. Then another high pressure ridge will briefly become the dominant feature before passage of the next cold front mid next week.
