Mid-week waves on tap at the point

0 40

Hello Friends,

Yet another morning for a surf. Amazing. Wind was light NW at 5-6 kts and, thanks to a 1.6 metre, 10-sec period SE swell, there were chest plus waves on the sets at Dee Why point. The tide is draining out to the low at 1110 which seemed to not be helping prospects along the beach north from the club. Size was similar to the point, but it looked lined up and shutting down. Weather should be partly cloudy today with a high of 21. The Bureau says the swell should fade back into the metre range by this afternoon. Tomorrow is set to be smaller, but not going flat, and the weather settings should be similar to today. So, that’s good if you’re keen.

Go well your day!

Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure persists across central and northern coastal waters while a series of cold fronts pass to the south, bringing fresh westerly winds across southern coastal waters. Winds will become strong in the south before turning southerly as a cold front brushes southeast on Thursday, then winds will become lighter east to northeasterly throughout the coastal waters during the latter part of the week as a ridge strengthens again in the east before another cold front brushes east during the weekend, with another south to southeasterly wind change in the wake.
