Soft little sets from the east
Hello Friends,
Surfable this morning with set wave faces into the chest high range at Dee Why around 0700. Wind was lightly offshore too. Out at sea the swell was around 1.5 metres from the east at 8 seconds or so which means that waves are generally soft, slow and mellow looking. A bit of volume won’t go astray if you have such an option. Weather was shaping to be showery but was rather pretty this morning. Water quality is good at most places this morning according to Beachwatch which also reports an ocean temperature of 22. Tide was a moderate 1.67 m high at 0740. It will be back to the 0.4 m low at 1400.
The swell models show size bumping up into the 2 metre range later, but of course the onshore wind will be coming up as the day goes along. Tomorrow is shaping to be a step up in energy levels with the best conditions – as usual – early. If the more hopeful predictions are right, we could be looking at head high to head and a bit at the best exposures.
Get out there if you can!
