The Goat’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 16 March 2023: Seven day outlook for Sydney
She was a warm one today.. got up to 37.something on the coast (which is around 100 Fahrenheit for whoever wonders about that).
Warm weather is expected by the Bureau to continue all week, though not as hot as today.
Offshores today made the surf look pretty as a picture at times. There could be a buit more offshorish conditons at times… except when there’s not.
The surf outlook is for there to be some! Small, variable in direction from day to day and during the day.
So the combination of warm days, warm water, light or not breezes and smallish waves should provide a range of fun (challenging?) opportununites for those who choose the right equipment at the right tides etc etc. Choose wisely.
Friday: down a bit from today, say around 1 ish metres, or a bit more, or less from South East
Saturday: say around 1 ish metres, maybe bit less, South East
Sunday: ditto North East
Monday: up a little. say 1 – 1+ metres North East
Tuesday: ditto East South East
Wednesday: ditto North East
Thursday: ditto Eastish
Btw, While the eye specialist was excavating a nasty from the rim and inside my eyelid, the doc said: “It’s up to us to set an example for younger people… Wear a hat and sunglasses”.
I said “I always do (except in the surf) already, or are you talking to the Goat?”
Ignoring me, and ploughing on seeming intent on preparing the site to plant a potato crop … “Clearly you didn’t when you were younger.”
Hmmm probably not.
I pass this little tip on, as we all spend so much time in the sun enjoying the surf… <Wear a hat and sunglasses>
