Sunny skies and tiny waves
Hello Friends,
Perfect conditions this morning with a light westerly, sunny skies and smooth seas. However, as the pictures show, the 1 metre, 9 second east wind swell was producing only knee to maybe waist high waves for the early risers at Dee Why on the mid-tide (it’ll be high at 0950).
It should be sunny all day with a high of 31. The ocean’s clean and the water’s still on 24.
Not that it matters much, but the wind will gradually go around to the NE this afternoon. Outlook is currently for the small to barely rideable conditions to last into next week.

Weather Situation
A strong cold front contracts offshore of the southern and central waters during the morning with fresh westerly turning south to southwesterly during the day. A weak trough moves slowly northwards during today with fresh to strong northerly winds easing later in the day. A ridge of high pressure is forecast to develop on Thursday causing winds to ease and tend southwest to southeasterly.
