Wind and rain day
Hello Friends,
20-30 kts of SSE wind and passing showers under grey skies this morning, so I went for a stroll along the lagoon side up to the pole and then back along the beach. Unless you’re a fit, experienced kite surfer, there’s nothing of interest. Plus, since last night RS HQ has recorded 96mm of rain, so it’s no surprise that Sydney Water issued a warning of partially treated discharge from the Warriewood outfall at 930PM last night. Apart from Avalon, most beaches were designated ‘pollution likely’ by Beachwatch in this morning’s status report. Swell at sea was dead south at 2.9 metres and 9 seconds apart. So horrible, onshore junk and it’s probably polluted.
It’s still not looking as though conditions will improve much until about Sunday morning. For what it’s worth the end of next week is currently looking interesting in some of the long range forecasts.
Go well!
Weather Situation
A cool change continuing to move through central districts today, bringing showery conditions and temperature relief to eastern parts of the state while maintaining hot conditions across the west. Hot and dry conditions are forecast to extend to large parts of the state during the latter part of the week as the high moves to the southern Tasman Sea ahead the next front that will enter the far west of the state during the weekend.
