Showery skies and clean but small early

0 127

Hello Friends,

The good news for early risers is that the wind was offshore and light as the day got started. Unfortunately the swell has dropped a bit too and where the point’s concerned anyway, the waits for a soft waist plus wave have only gotten longer. Over in the beachy there was a bit more size and the sets were a little more consistent. However the showery weather seems to have deterred the dawn patrol so I didn’t see any waves caught. The Bureau says the south swell will continue to subside as the day goes along. Low tide is at 0820 and then it’s back to a 1.26 high at 1425.

The good news is that the models are showing another little pulse arriving late Sunday and possibly giving us fun waist to chest plusses at south magnets for Monday. Weather however is shaping to be showery right through Thursday. And from Tuesday onward currently looks pretty marginal surfwise.

Have yourself a top old Saturday and stay safe because there were 2900 new COVID-19 cases in our LGA in the last week.

Weather Situation

A strong high pressure system near the Great Australian Bight is extending a ridge across New South Wales. East to southeasterly winds are expected to persist for the remainder of the week and over the weekend as the high gradually moves east.
