Missable morning along the beaches
Hello Friends,
All you need to know is that as of 0600 the wind was SE at 15-30 kts. The weather radar was showing inbound showers from out at sea for Sydney and a heap of the rainy stuff hitting between Newcastle and Forster. The MHL buoy was detecting 1.5 metres of 6-second southerly wind bump offshore. It was a great morning to sleep in.
And outlook for the weekend is not exciting surfwise in Sydney. In fact, I’m not sure that surfing will really be a thing for the coming week. If the models are right, it’ll be showery, onshore and tiny until maybe next weekend – at least.
A good week to catch up on all your non-surf activities apparently.

A ridge of high pressure extends along the southern coast while a trough lingers near the northern New South Wales coast. East to southeasterly winds are forecast to become northeasterly later on the weekend or early next week as the trough deepens and extends further south.
