Outta control
Hello Friends,
Another day when you’d be insane to get in the water at any open stretch of beach… in fact, at any beach across the Sydney region. Swell is coming from 60° to 120° and it was hitting 4.4 metres at 13 seconds apart as of 0700 off Sydney. At 0900 the wind was 15-20 kts from the SSE and we were experiencing regular downpours. With 58mm in the previous 24 hours, the ocean is looking really murky and Beachwatch is unsurprisingly warning that pollution is likely most places.
As for the outlook, well, I’m waiting to see what the Goat has to say when he issues his prognostications later today.
So stay out, stay safe and avoid travel if you can. (Pittwater road at the north approach to Dee Why had a lot of water in the usual spots as of 0800 this morning.)
Weather Situation
A low pressure system off the Mid North Coast of New South Wales is slowly moving southwest and may deepen into an East Coast Low as it approaches central parts of the New South Wales coast late tonight or early Thursday. The low is expected to weaken later on Thursday.
