Little but surfable for Monday morning

0 10

Hello Friends,

Reasonable numbers in the water by 0630 at Dee Why, but swell has definitely cogged down a foot or so since yesterday. Set wave faces looked to be in the waist to chest high range on the biggest ones, but it seemed to be inconsistent and along the beach, where it was consistently bigger than the point, the shutdowns were plentiful. Primary swell direction was 120° (ESE), average height at sea was1.3m and period was 10.3 sec at 0740. Wind was out of the north at 7-8 kts. First tide of the day was a 1.4m high at 0735. Low is along at 1320. Weather should be sunny as we head to a high of 28C. We’re still waiting for the water to budge off 18C.

While they disagree on size, the ECM and GFS models are projecting a bump from the south on Wednesday, but tomorrow looks like being smaller than today. And the Wednesday pulse is currently projected to be around the 1.5m mark, so nothing dramatic in the way of improvement.

Stay safe everyone and go well with your Monday.
