The pumping swell continues this morning

0 14

Hello Friends,

Another sunny morning with offshore wind and solid swell for the lucky local bubblers. Out at sea the swell was ticking along at 3 metres from the SSE at 11 seconds apart. Along the Dee Why end of the beach, this was translating into head plus sets, while at the point it looked to be maybe 20% smaller, and less consistent for the healthy crowd of exercisers (and, one hopes a crowd of healthy exercisers!). It looked pretty straight along the beach though. You can expect lots of pull backs as yet another promising peak turns into an unmakeable shutdown. Next tide is a 1.46 m high at 1130.

Go well!

Weather Situation

A deep low over the Tasman Sea continues to bring strong southwesterly winds across the southern half of the New South Wales coast and more moderate west to northwesterly winds in the north. As the low drifts slowly towards New Zealand, winds are expected to ease, but will remain fresh to strong in the south through Saturday, mostly offshore.
